Hancock County Jail Roster Basics

The official custody path for Hancock County jail inmates is the WV Regional Jail Offender Search, which is part of the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation system. That matters because the jail serving Hancock County is the Northern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility in Moundsville, not a jail at the Hancock County courthouse.

The state search is for regional jail custody. It can help with a person held before trial, a person serving a jail sentence, or a person still in the jail system after a Hancock County arrest. WVDCR states that sentencing information should be checked against the records of the court with jurisdiction.
